Abreeza is now open!!!



Mindanao's biggest mall -- Abreeza has finally opened on May 12, 2011. The much-anticipated opening brought a different level of excitement and thrill not only to Davao shoppers, but that of the whole Mindanao, since this will be the first Ayala Shopping Center situated in the island.

Located at the heart of Davao City, along J.P. Laurel Avenue, infront of Redemptorist Church, the mall is 10 hectares (25 acres) vast.The property is owned by Accendo Commercial Corporation, a joint venture company of Ayala Land and Anflocor.

Most of the stores that have opened and will open in Abreeza are the chain of stores that will have their first presence felt in Mindanao including Starbucks, The Paris Hilton Store, Power Mac Center, Italianni's, T.G.I.Fridays, Teriyaki Boy, Zarah, Promod, Lucerne, Bread Talk, Cinderella, Fully Booked, Red Mango and Wendy's among others. The Gokongwei-owned Robinsons have also invested on a separate four-storey commercial building inside the 10-hectare property, which now housed the Robinsons Department Store and Robinsons Supermarket.

According to reports the 3 hectares of the entire property will be sold for residential or commercial purposes, including a hotel, which will be run by Ayala Land. Meanwhile, the business process outsourcing (BPO) center is set to cover 18,000 m2 (190,000 sq ft). Two BPO buildings are now being constructed. VXI, will be the first BPO hub to run in Abreeza by June this year.

With the many business and employment opportunities it offers, this new hub is foreseen to boost the economic growth of Davao City and the entire Mindanao.
